Counselling & Therapeutic Services
The Counselling Centre of East Algoma provides counselling and therapeutic support that is both client-led and client-focused, ensuring that individuals receive personalized care based on their unique needs and goals. Our approach emphasizes the importance of holistic support, addressing not only mental health but also emotional and spiritual well-being.
The counselling services cover a wide range of issues, including relationship challenges, trauma recovery, grief support, addictions, as well as help for individuals struggling with intrusive thoughts and suicidal ideation. Counsellors work closely with clients to build self-esteem, foster self-worth, and develop essential coping skills to navigate everyday life.
Our agency provides services for women who are in or just came out of Intimate Partner Violence. These specialized services include; Gender-Based Violence Education, Violence Against Women, and Investing in Women’s Future.
We also provide male specific treatment and support for suvivours of sexual assault
Our goal is to empower individuals, helping them find healing, resilience, and the tools necessary to live fulfilling and balanced lives. Whether addressing past trauma or current challenges, the Counselling Centre of East Algoma offers a supportive environment where clients can explore, heal, and grow.

Senior Social
Join Linda at the Counselling Centre of East Algoma on every Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m. for games, conversation, guest speakers and more. This is open to any senior and you do not need to be a client with the Counselling Centre of East Algoma.

Victory Assured
Victory Assured is a collaborative therapy group facilitated by Ben from CCEA and Jeremy from CMHASSM, designed to support men of all ages in their journey toward self-esteem and personal empowerment. Through open discussion, shared experiences, and guided activities, participants can connect with others in a safe and supportive environment. The group focuses on fostering confidence, emotional growth, and resilience, helping men build stronger relationships with themselves and others. Whether you're navigating personal challenges or simply looking to grow, Victory Assured offers a space for self-discovery and empowerment.

Partner Assault Response Program
The Partner Assault Response Program is court-mandated group for individuals who have been charged with domestic violence. This is a 12-week group, and requires individuals to be registered with the PAR Coordinator.

Voices Against Violence Education Series
The Gender-Based Violence Specialist provides education on an individual, group and community basis, by raising awareness through the Voices Against Violence Education Series.
Voices Against Violence is an educational series designed to teach individuals how to recognize the tactics of abuse and cultivate healthy, respectful relationships.
Topics include: What is Gender-Based Violence? Recognizing Unhealthy Relationships, Violence Against Seniors, Addressing GBV at work, Domestic Sex Trafficking in Canada, Technology Facilitated Violence, and Teen Dating Violence
