Artist Submission Guidelines: International Women’s Day Art Exhibition

Focus: Resilience, Healing, and Social Change
About the Exhibition:
This International Women’s Day, we are celebrating the power of art to reflect, inspire, and create change. The exhibition invites artists to explore themes of resilience, healing, and social change, showcasing works that speak to the journey of reclaiming power and redefining futures.
We welcome submissions from diverse perspectives and mediums, encouraging an inclusive representation of the lived experiences, stories, and visions of women and gender-diverse individuals around the world.
Eligibility
Who Can Apply:
Open to all.
Emerging and professional artists are equally encouraged to participate.
Mediums Accepted:
Painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, textiles, mixed media, digital art, and video art.
Submission Requirements
Artwork Details:
Each artist may submit up to three works art pieces
All submissions must directly align with the theme Reclaiming Power, Redefining Futures.
Artworks must be original.
Violence Against Women
Referrals, advocacy, outreach, and strategic community partnership development are integral program components.
Over and above individual, crisis, and group counselling, the Counsellor will support women in their journey to choose a life free from violence using a broad holistic approach that integrates self-development and self-care, health and well- being as well as supporting their economic empowerment.
For women who are looking to achieve economic self-sufficiency, the Counsellor will develop a collaborative plan of action for skill building, life skills support, computer training and job placements.
The Violence Against Women program also has Anti-Human Trafficking and Victim Services.

Investing in Women’s Futures (IWF) Program
Well-Being and Social Inclusion
The program aims to improve the overall well-being of participants by fostering social inclusion and engagement. It encourages women and 2SLGBTQQIA+ individuals to become active members of their communities. IWF recognizes the importance of preventing gender-based violence (GBV). It supports initiatives that address and respond to GBV, fosters well being, social inclusion and engagement, and promote economic empowerment and resilience aiming to create safer environments for women and marginalized individuals
WRAPAROUND SERVICES
Wraparound supports are offered to help remove barriers for participants to access services. Wraparound supports vary based on participant needs and are coordinated locally on a site-by-site basis. These supports may include:
Assistance with childcare
Transportation to and from the site.
Referrals to counselling, housing, mental health, and legal support
Preventing Gender-Based Violence (PGBV)
What is Gender-Based Violence?
Gender-based violence (GBV) refers to harmful actions directed at an individual or a group based on their gender. It encompasses a wide range of abusive behaviors that are rooted in power imbalances between genders and are often used to control, intimidate, or harm individuals or groups because of their gender identity or perceived adherence to gender norms.
About the Program
The Gender-Based Violence Specialist provides education on an individual, group and community basis, by raising awareness through the Voices Against Violence Education Series.
Voices Against Violence is an educational series designed to teach individuals how to recognize the tactics of abuse and cultivate healthy, respectful relationships.
