Clinical Manager
Job Status: This is a full-time position.
Salary: $76,000-$90,000 per annum

Schedule: 7-hour shift, Monday to Friday
Summary
The Clinical Supervisor, under the direction of the Executive Director, is responsible for the organization, development, and management of Counselling Centre East Algoma's programs and services, including cost management, personnel, materials, productivity, and quality of work. The supervisor is expected to ensure that all clients are receiving the required care, and that all required policies and procedures are being followed in accordance with applicable legislation.
Requirements
Post-Secondary Bachelors Degree in Health Care or a relevant field required, Masters Degree preferred
Registered healthcare professional including:
College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO), College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO), Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
3-5 years' Clinical Management, or similar experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to courteously and respectfully assist clients, family members and the community with genuine care and concern while upholding and preserving their privacy
Excellent teamwork and team building skills
Sound leadership, staff management, and team building skills
High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing

Job Duties
Management Team
Collaborate with various Counselling Centre East Algoma departments and programs to:
Contribute to the smooth operations of the Centre, and identify resources required to support service delivery.
Schedule staff to ensure that all areas of the Centre are equipped with trained professionals
Build and maintain sustainable relationships with staff, management, volunteers, the community, clients and families
Ensure that staffing meets client needs in a fiscally responsible manner
Collaborate with all levels and programs to facilitate change and create cost efficiency
Revising existing policies and procedures, as necessary, and monitor the adherence/compliance to them within Counselling Centre East Algoma
Supervision
Supervise client care and promote inter-disciplinary client care planning and education
Provide clinical supervision as necessary, case consultation, direction and support to professional staff.
Ensure all documentation is up to date and being managed appropriately
Demonstrate leadership in support of departmental needs and serve as a clinical resource
Collaborate with various Professionals to ensure smooth and efficient client care
Ensure staff development, orientation and training
Conduct objective and constructive performance reviews, including clinical reviews as scheduled
Act as a liaison among staff and other stakeholders to ensure that goals are achieved, processes are improved and resolutions are provided to problems
Other duties may be assigned as required

Position Overview:
The Counselling Centre of East Algoma (CCEA) is seeking a self-motivated, experienced fulltime Clinician to join our team. You will provide a compassionate and trusting therapeutic relationship to individuals who have experienced trauma, grief and loss, addictions, difficult life stressors, and transitions, by supporting their mental health and well being.
Qualifications:
B.S.W. or equivalent with 3 years of professional/personal experience or M.S.W. or equivalent with 2 years of professional/personal experience.
Registered healthcare professional including:

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Cognitive and behavioural therapies (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Exposure Therapy, and Brief Solution focused Therapy.
A clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check.
A valid G driver’s licence with access to a reliable vehicle.
Knowledge of major Indigenous and French languages an asset.
Requirements:
Strong clinical and interpersonal skills,
Excellent skills in mental health assessment and teaching, case management, advocacy, decision making and effective crisis intervention, and to develop treatment plans using a variety of evidence based therapeutic modalities,
Ability to advocate for clients in a number of settings, and work collaboratively with other agencies and/or services,
Well developed counselling skills in individual, family, and group modalities,
You will monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to measurable goals described in treatment and care plans,
Strong skills in public speaking, public education, and networking,
Ability to set priorities, organize and coordinate activities,
You will maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational days and training sessions,
Ability to work independently and in a team setting with a commitment to clients and the community,
Strong computer knowledge to manage web-based software integrations and MSOffice 365,
Work collaboratively with Executive Director, management, and staff when required to complete other duties as requested.

EXPECTATIONS OF THE BOARD AS A WHOLE
The mission of The Counselling Centre of East Algoma (CCEA) is committed to promoting healthy solutions to individual and family problems through professional counselling programs and community education.
As the highest leadership body of the organization and to satisfy its fiduciary duties, the board is responsible for:
Determining the mission and purposes of the organization,
Selecting and evaluating the performance of the Executive Director,
Strategic and organizational planning,
Ensuring strong fiduciary oversight and financial management,
Fundraising and resource development,
Approving and monitoring CCEA’s programs and services,
Enhancing CCEA’s public image,
Assessing its own performance as the governing body.
EXPECTATIONS OF INDIVIDUAL BOARD MEMBERS
