Crisis INTERVENTION

Our Crisis Intervention worker will assist clients to meet their needs and enable them to utilize agency or community services to achieve their optimal level of health through counselling, education, and the use of appropriate resources either independently or through a combination of any of the above.

They will be available on site and over the phone to triage immediate safety concerns and provide brief solution therapy that can last over the course of 30 days.

Following the 30 days, our community intervention workers assess whether they are high risk enough to continue working with them for the purposes of stabilization, counselling, and case management, or to refer them to another internal or external service.  Dependent on the need of the individual.

  • Provides assessment(s), case management, safety planning, and treatment planning to clients either in person or via virtual technology and/or telephone.

  • Fast track and streamline high risk/needs clients to mental health services without a wait list or need to wait for an intake appointment.

  • Offer support to individual(s) who are in immediate need, unsafe or unable to wait for later appointments and thereby remove barriers to wrap around mental health support and advocacy.
